Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Do Not Want Biden Forcing U.S. Into Major Role in Russia-Ukraine Conflict

According to new polls, Americans don’t want Biden leading the U.S. to play a significant role in the Russia/Ukraine conflict.

According to a new survey by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, only 26 percent believe that the United States should be a key player in this battle.

While Democrats support President Biden more, they also strongly support an intervention. However, all Americans want to minimize their involvement in this conflict.

Threety-two per cent of Democrats believe the United States should be a key player in the Ukraine-Russia conflict, while 22 percent of Republicans agree.

Americans believe that America should play only a minimal role in trying mediate this conflict.

50 percent favor playing only a minimal role, and 20 percent say there should not be.

Americans Don’t Want a Major Role In Russia-Ukraine Conflict

In addition to polls showing Americans do not want Biden forcing the U.S. to play a major role in the Ukraine-Russia crisis, others are showing they have lost confidence in the President’s ability to handle foreign affairs.

A recent Gallup poll shows just 40% support Biden’s handling of foreign affairs.

This number is 16 points lower than the pre-Afghanistan or pre-Ukraine numbers.

Delving deeper into those numbers, just 36% of Americans approve of how Biden has handled Russian President Vladimir Putin’s Ukraine standoff.

Ex-UN Ambassador Former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley appears to be the representative of those who don’t approve, and slam President Biden’s handling of the conflict.

“President Biden promised a ‘swift and severe’ response. He did not deliver,” she tweeted.

She stated that other countries are viewing his failings live and might pose a threat.

Psaki Says that the Admin Does Not Have an Intent to Listen to American People

Jen Psaki White House Press Secretary at Wednesday’s press conference indicated that the Biden Administration does not plan to follow the results of the most recent polls.

“The President and the White House — you know, we make national security decisions based on what’s best for our country’s national security, not on the latest polling,” she told reporters.

Psaki went on to express hope “the American people will see and have seen” that the President “has sought to revitalize our partnerships and alliances and unite our country.”

She added, “We’re less focused on the politics of Ukraine and more focused on preventing a war.”

This must be done in a way that shifts the focus.

Americans wake up to news Russia invades Ukraine

Today, Americans are awakened to Putin’s all-out invasion in Ukraine. Russian cruise missiles hit military bases and airports. Hundreds of civilians were also killed.

Putin tried to bait President Biden with another chilling warning.

“To anyone who would consider interfering from the outside – if you do, you will face consequences greater than any you have faced in history,” he said during a television broadcast.

Maybe Americans don’t want Biden to be involved in Russia-Ukraine because it affects their already depleted pockets?

Particular concern are gas and energy costs, which have been admitted by the White House to be rising due to global events.

“Defending freedom will have costs for us as well, here at home,” Biden said Tuesday. “We need to be honest about that.”

The benefits that the American people desire from freedom and the cost of our effort to protect it have always been outweighed by the risks. There are many benefits, such as safety and sovereignty. It begs the following question: How is the Biden administration weighing the cost-benefit analysis to determine whether the U.S. might become involved in the Russia/Ukraine conflict?
