Democrats are already facing a tough battle for the next midterm elections. But one of their own appears determined to push them higher. During an interview on Tuesday, far-left “Squad” member Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) says she will not stop calling to ‘defund the police’.
Democrats who can see the writing on the wall have apparently asked her to knock it off – and she refuses.
Rep. Cori Bush says she’s not going to stop using “defund the police” ahead of the midterms — even though that slogan took blame for Democratic losses in 2020 and some of her colleagues have specifically requested it not be used. https://t.co/wQ652gVGH8

Bush Claims It’s A ‘Misunderstanding’
Bush added that Democrats need to “explain” better what defunding the police actually means. For many Americans, particularly crime victims, however, it is clear that the message to move money from police resources to social programs is loud and clear.
The majority of Americans desire more police spending, and not less.
Many want the same level of protection that far-left activists like Bush get – after all, she spends big bucks on her own private security while demanding that police be defunded.
Dear Cori Bush,
It is time to defund the police!!
Seattle rejected the idea.
Minneapolis stated no.
New York screamed hell at the naw, naw, naw!Don’t promote reckless or dangerous rhetoric!!
It will feel like the GOP is in a feeding frenzy. 🐔

Bush’s Fellow Democrats Not Pleased
Bush said Tuesday that she will always call for police defunding and remembered her activist past. It isn’t a good idea for all Democrats.
Bush says she is “absolutely” feeling pressure from her colleagues to tone it down. “I’ve had colleagues walk up to me” and say that ‘defund the police’ doesn’t help in their districts.”
Rep. Karen Bass (D.CA), a colleague running for Mayor of Los Angeles is voicing her disapproval with Bush. If elected, she says that the LAPD will be restored to its original 9,700 officers. Bass said to the Los Angeles Times:
“Whether you’ve had your car broken into, your backpack stolen, your property damaged — or you’ve seen news coverage of home robberies, or violent assaults — more and more Angelenos I speak with tell me crime has touched them personally, and they feel scared.”
Last month, the White House said that underfunding police was partially responsible for the recent spike in crime.
Hahaha. Cori’s gift.
Cori Bush will not drop the slogan “defund the Police” even though Dems are afraid it is poison at the polls

Democrat Rule Of Thumb: ‘Rules For Thee But Not For Me’
Bush displayed in August 2021 her ability to fit in with her Democratic colleagues. She had the right level of astonishing hypocrisy when she was exposed as having spent $70,000 for private security.
Bush’s defense was not much of a defense, just an off the charts level of self-unawareness. Bush claimed that there had been threats on her life, and that she “has too much work to do.”
She added, “So suck it up, and defunding the police has to happen.”
