On Tuesday, Sen. Ron Johnson slammed the “complicit media” for failing to cover the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 presidential election, or the revelations since then.
The media either ignored the laptop before the election, or went even further, insinuating it was “Russian disinformation” and therefore false.
Fox even notes that the Big 3 networks – NBC, CBS, and ABC – haven’t mentioned Hunter Biden in 259 days as of yesterday.
Johnson isn’t having it, and made his thoughts perfectly clear on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”

Johnson: ‘We have gotten no apologies from those Democrat colleagues’
Johnson said Republicans and conservatives at large “were right” in insisting that the Hunter Biden laptop story was valid while the mainstream media “were wrong” in dismissing it to help Democrats before the election.
Johnson told Fox News, “You know, Senator Grassley and I were doing our investigation into a number of corrupt areas of the federal government. One of the things that got on the radar screen was the conflict of interest that Hunter Biden had, for example, with Burisma in Ukraine.”

“We started looking into it, and we uncovered a vast web of foreign financial entanglements,” the Republican said. “We issued our report before the election. We thought it was important the American public would understand the extent that Joe Biden would be compromised as the United States President, but the media just ignored it.”
Johnson recalled how bringing up the story was called “Russian disinformation” at the time.
“They actually instead ran the false accusations created by our Democrat colleagues in the Senate that Senator Grassley and I were soliciting and disseminating Russian disinformation,” Johnson said. “Nothing could have been further from the truth.”
Johnson pointed at the Dems.
“In fact, Democrats entered Russian disinformation into our investigation record, but let’s face it, we have gotten no apologies from those Democrat colleagues,” he continued.

Johnson: ‘basically advocates for the Democratic Party’
Johnson elaborated, “We have gotten no apologies from the mainstream media acknowledging the fact that we were right, they were wrong, and that’s part of the problem here, Steve, is we have a complicit media. They are not impartial.”
“They are basically advocates for the Democratic Party,” the senator said.
Johnson isn’t the only one to notice.

Even the placid Bill Barr, former attorney general under President Trump, ripped current President Joe Biden for lying about the laptop being “Russian disinformation.”
“I was very disturbed during the debate when candidate Biden lied to the American people about the laptop. He [was] squarely confronted with the laptop and suggested it was Russian disinformation and pointed to the letter written by intelligence people, it was baseless, which he knew was a lie, and I was shocked by that,” Barr said last week.
