Behar: Taking stock of what really matters
The co-hosts of “The View,” including Behar, had a discussion about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s attack on Ukraine and what that mean for the United States and globally.
Behar said, “I’m scared of what’s going to happen in western Europe too.”
However, the killings and bombings have had an impact on her plans to travel.

“You know, you just plan a trip,” Behar said. “You want to go there, want to go to Italy for four years, and I haven’t been able to make it because of the pandemic, and now this.”
“You know, it’s, like, what’s going to happen there too?” she added.
“And, you know, this guy [Putin], he’s a singular sensation in a certain way,” Behar said. “You know what I mean? I don’t know that the whole — that he has that much support in his country like you say, and maybe that has to be addressed because we’ve seen this movie before, in the last century.”

Behar Blasts ‘Fascists’
Behar raised eyebrows this week when she claimed that Republicans were engaging in “traitorous” behavior by arguing that Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump were president.
For the record – Putin did not invade Ukraine when Trump was President.
Behar said, “A lot of people in the GOP right now are buying this lie, that he would have solved the problem. He would have said, ‘Here. This is Ukraine. Take it. And I’m gonna build a casino there any minute now.’”
“The traitorous behavior that’s going on right now on the right is just, it’s unbelievable to me,” Behar proclaimed.
