With Biden You Get All Of The Drama Of Trump Without Any Of The Benefits

Trump is a big supporter of mine. In fact, my support for a Trump presidency run dates back to 2011, when I was the one who spearheaded the efforts to bring Donald Trump to CPAC.

But even I can admit that the Trump presidency was exhausting at times – not that it wasn’t worth it, it was, but let’s not pretend that Trump was a “normal” President. He wasn’t. This was indeed by design.

Republicans nominated Trump in 2016 and the country delivered Trump the presidency exactly because he wasn’t promising to be just another normal or conventional President. Trump promised to take a wrecking ball to everything in DC and that’s exactly what he did.

Trump’s presidency drama was not just by accident, but also highly successful. Trump’s non-conventional and unpredictable approach led to unprecedented economic growth, low gas prices, a secure southern border, and peace and prosperity abroad.

So while it may have been exhausting at times, Trump’s presidency was an unquestioned success by almost any policy barometer.

Donald Trump didn’t lose the Presidency because people were unhappy with Trump’s results. Trump is not President because of Democratic shenanigans that changed the election rules in order to favor their side, and Trump fatigue among centrist and independent voters.

Joe Biden’s campaign was almost entirely policy-free. Is there a policy initiative on which Biden campaigned? Of course not, Biden’s campaign was completely focused on simply not being Trump.

Biden instead of running for a number of substantive policy positions, he ran on a bunch of empty personality platitudes. He promised to be a “uniter,” he promised to return “civility” to politics, he promised a return to the boring political world that existed before Donald J. Trump stepped up and changed everything.

Forget Biden’s litany of policy failures (COVID, inflation, the border, crime, Afghanistan, gas prices, Ukraine, etc), unbelievably Biden can’t even succeed at delivering on his promises of a kinder, gentler, and drama-free White House.

After an unhinged speech by Biden in Georgia, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell – not exactly a firebrand – torched Biden in a speech on the Senate floor:

McConnell noted a year ago the president called for lowering the rhetorical temperature, but now says, “if you disagree with him, you’re George Wallace. If you don’t pass the laws he wants, you’re Bull Connor. And if you oppose giving Democrats … one-party control of the country, well, you’re Jefferson Davis.”

Amazingly enough, even after rebukes from his OWN party for the speech, Biden not only didn’t attempt to walk it back, he absolutely lambasted a reporter who asked him a question about his speech:

“Look what I said. Go back and read what I said and tell me if you think I called anyone who voted on the side of position taken by Bull Connor that they were Bull Connor,” Biden said in response to a questions by a Real Clear Politics reporter during a press conference at the White House, his voice rising. “That is an interesting reading of English. I assume you got into journalism because you like to write.”

Biden was defending the reporter during one of his most incoherent, meandering, and convoluted press conferences. He claimed that he accomplished more in a year than anyone else, that he dealt with the failures of Afghanistan and COVID well, and that Republicans loathe him more than any other politician.

But if you thought that maybe Biden’s blindside of the reporter who asked him about Georgia was just the result of a press conference gone off the rails, you would be wrong.

Just yesterday, Biden, not realizing his mic was still on, referred to Fox News reporter Peter Doocy as a “stupid son of a bitch” for asking him an inconvenient question about inflation.

This is a clear indication that Joe Biden can be just as divisive and brash as Trump. Trump made the United States more secure, prosperous and safer than ever before.

Unfortunately Joe Biden does not offer all of the Trump benefits.
