New Poll Shows Majority Of Independents Want Fauci To Resign

According to the Trafalgar Group, Independents are joining Republicans calling for Doctor Anthony Fauci’s resignation.

On the matter of whether or not the Biden administration’s chief medical adviser should “resign his position and role in leading the government’s COVID-19 response to allow new leadership,” Independents agree by a whopping margin of 59% to 41%.

Republicans support the assessment by 77% to 23%, while Democrats are strongly opposed, with only 18% saying that he should resign, as against 82% who disagree.

Fauci Should Resign

Crosstabs are also interesting on the most recent poll about whether Fauci should resign as director of National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIH).

If we break down respondents by their age, the most prominent (and the only) group who think he should step down is those between 18 and 24 years old.

According to the young generation, 83% to 17% of them believe Fauci should resign.

This poll shows that 60 percent of male respondents believe he should be fired, and 66 percent think he should continue in his current position.

Don’t go anywhere

Fauci for his part stated repeatedly that he does not intend to go anywhere, despite being 81 years old.

In a recent interview with MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle, Fauci indicated that criticism of his work is “stressful on my family, my wife, and my children,” but his efforts during the pandemic are “too important.”

“This is the kind of thing that I’ve devoted my entire career, but certainly over the last 40-plus years in public health, science and medicine, and we are in a crisis right now and there’s no chance I’m going to walk away from this,” he said.

Ruhle replied as though she was one of the Democrats at the Trafalgar Poll, lavishing praises on Fauci

“Well, I am sincerely appreciative that you are not walking away from this post. We are smarter, safer, and better each day because of you. Thank you so much, Dr. Fauci.”

This work is no doubt important. However, the problem is that many people outside of media and Democrats believe his work to be incompetent.

Fauci doesn’t think he’s a flip-flopper. Fauci considers himself to be science. Fauci is a true lover of himself, judging by his office layout. He would never leave adulation.

Social media erupted last week over an image of the good doctor’s office which revealed a bobblehead and a massive, life-size portrait of himself.

Representative Jim Jordan (OH) recently warned that Republicans will “definitely” investigate Dr. Fauci should the GOP win back the House in 2022.

“If the American people put us back in charge, we are definitely going to do this,” vowed Jordan.

Jordan seemed to indicate the focus of the investigation would be the government’s alleged attempts to downplay the origins of the coronavirus pandemic.
