Fox News’ Howard Kurtz Says Mainstream Media ‘Absolutely Determined To Ignore’ Durham Hillary Revelations

On Monday, Fox News’ host Howard Kurtz said that the mainstream media was “absolutely determined to ignore” the latest revelations from special counsel John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the accusations that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia, and Hillary Clinton’s possible hand in concocting a “collusion” narrative.

“Media Buzz” host Kurtz made his comments during an interview on the Fox News program “The Story.”

Kurtz: ‘It’s absolutely stunning that virtually all the major newspapers and the other networks are absolutely determined to ignore this story’

Fox News reported on Tuesday, “Fox News first reported that Special counsel John Durham, who was appointed by former Attorney General William Barr in 2020, filed a motion on Feb. 11 concentrating on possible conflicts of interest connected to Michael Sussman. Sussman was a Clinton campaign lawyer. Charge with allegedly lying to the FBI, pled not guilty to the charges in September 2021.

“The Feb. 11 filing alleged that Clinton’s campaign lawyers paid a technology company to get access to Trump Tower servers to create a ‘narrative’ that would link former President Donald Trump to Russia,” Fox News noted.

Host Martha MacCallum said, “One of the big questions is the coverage of this story and the lack of evidence of coverage for this Durham filing that came out over the weekend that we’re seeing out there.”

MacCallum added, “Let me play to remind people the way that a lot of the media has portrayed this Trump-Russia collusion story from way back. Watch.”

Video montage that showed CNN and MSNBC hosts being dismissive regarding the Durham probe.

MacCallum asked Kurtz after the clip, “So now there’s news and developments in this story, Howie, are they being covered?”

Kurtz replied, “It’s absolutely stunning that virtually all the major newspapers and the other networks are absolutely determined to ignore this story.”

Kurtz: ‘I thought by today they would come back with some semblance of coverage’

“They cover every throat-clearing by the January 6 committee and all the coverage of Russian gate that you just gave us a taste of, but this is an actual federal prosecutor delivering actual evidence in a court filing, not some anonymously sourced story,” Kurtz continued.

Kurtz added, “Yet these other places are just magically declaring it to be non-news. Doesn’t — well, it’s overblown, or it’s unproven — doesn’t get a mention. I thought by today they would come back with some semblance of coverage.”

He continued, “I don’t understand how any news organization can just wave this away because it doesn’t fit the narrative that of course, Trump was making up the idea he was improperly surveilled or spied upon.”
