Kittitas County officials were willing to dispatch public workers to help clear State Route 903 after heavy snowfall closed it down in Washington. State officials refused to help, as the county couldn’t guarantee that its workers were all vaccinated for COVID-19. Gov. Jay Inslee ordered that every state employee be vaccinated. It also applies to contractors and employees working under intergovernmental arrangements. Kittitas County has no vaccine mandate.
