In July 2021, the Indonesian Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) finally granted the Emergency Use Authorization for Ivermectin as the therapeutic drug to cure the Covid-19.
This was due to the country’s “worst-case scenario” epidemic at the time according to officials.
In July, Indonesia saw an increase in COVID-19-related deaths and infected persons. The country was also struggling to reduce the spread of the virus due to its large population. Indonesia is ranked as the world’s fourth most populous country.
In an effort to stop the spread, the government issued an emergency order. One of the measures it took was to allow Ivermectin to be used as a COVID-19 therapy.

On Thursday, July 15, the Indonesian government began to distribute free medication and vitamins to Covid-19 patients living in high-risk locations. The highly transmissible Delta virus of the coronavirus ripped through Indonesian territory, emptying pharmacie shelves.
Each package will have seven days worth of therapeutic Covid-19 drugs and vitamins, and will be given to asymptomatic patients as well as those with mild to moderate symptoms including fever and dry cough. For the latter, a consultation will be required with a physician and prescription.
There are fewer medical facilities available, so the demand for medicine and oxygen is on the rise. Prices of medication have risen in online and offline pharmacies as more people self-medicate at home. Since then, the health ministry has taken steps to limit prices for drugs like favipiravir or remdesivir.
Indonesia’s food and drug agency has authorised ivermectin for emergency use against Covid-19, Reuters reported, although the World Health Organisation, as well as European and the US regulators did not recommend its use for Covid-19 patients.
Since July, when the government allowed the use Ivermectin to COVID-19 sufferers, the numbers of such cases have significantly declined.

Only 20.5% of those vaccinated were complete as of October 8th, and only 35.9% had received their first vaccine.

Since July 2021, Ivermectin can be prescribed by doctors in Indonesia. It is not available for purchase from a pharmacy.

In India, the Gateway Pundit reported the exact same situation in Uttar Pradesh. COVID-19 has been eliminated from 33 Indian districts of Uttar Pradesh. The recovery rate has increased up to 98.7% proving the effectiveness of IVERMECTIN as part of the “Uttar Pradesh Covid Control Model.” Of course, the media won’t mention that Ivermectin is being used for the treatment of COVID-19.
Uttar Pradesh is India’s most populous state to administer Ivermectin early and in a preventative manner in all families. This state has a very low vaccine rate, but it is among the lowest in COVID.
