Texas Gears Up For What Could Be The Largest Influx Of Illegal Immigrants In U.S. History

The U.S. Border Patrol has been hampered by the Biden Administration, so Texas officials have begun to prepare for the biggest wave of illegal immigrants crossing the U.S. Southern border from Mexico.

These numbers are due to thousands of Haitian immigrants entering the country. They also accumulated under the Del Rio Texas International Bridge several weeks earlier.

Biden has restraining the Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. As a result, fewer people have been deported and more are entering the country’s interior. The Biden administration is encouraging more people to illegally cross the border.

Texas Law Enforcement Takes a Step Up

The Border Patrol was essentially taken from the border and used for processing immigrants. State law enforcement agencies such as the Department of Public Safety or the National Guard fill in any gaps left by the Border Patrol.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted over the weekend, “Texas National Guard is gearing up at the border for increased caravans attempting to cross the border caused by Biden’s open border policy. They have been working closely with the Texas Dept. of Public Safety to seal surge locations at the border & arrest trespassers.”

Spokeswoman of Gov. Renae Eze, spokeswoman for Gov. Abbott stated that thousands of National Guard soldiers had been sent to the border from March. However she would not provide an exact figure. DPS officials said about 1,000 DPS officers were sent to Del Rio in the last month.

What Haitian immigrants arrive in the U.S.

There are many factors that have contributed to Haitians’ mass immigration to the U.S.

In just the past year, the poorest nation in the western hemisphere has endured a major earthquake, powerful hurricane, and political unrest as the country’s president was assassinated in July.

Many of them have lived in South American countries like Chile and Brazil for many years. But, with the aid of cartels they are now heading for the U.S. They will travel through Panama, Central America, and then on to North America.

Panama Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes said that the Panamanian government “sounded the alarm” last month about the impending surge of migrants to the U.S.

According to her, there has been no reply from Biden’s administration.

The 60,000-strong group is heading northward towards Texas. Another 30,000 people are in Columbia, and they’re headed to Panama. Mouynes added, “We’ve engaged with every single authority that we can think of, that we can come across, to say, ‘Please, let’s pay attention to this.’”

Texas Takes Care of Its Border

The Governor of Texas, Gov. Abbott gave $100 million more Texas taxpayer dollars for Operation Lone Star.

This program includes Texas Rangers and state troopers. It also has the National Guard, which assists the Border Patrol in apprehensions. There have been approximately 4,600 arrests as of the end of December. Abbott claims that anyone crossing the border who trespasses upon private property or public lands is being arrested and held.

Texas appears to be doing what the federal government ought to be doing. Biden’s administration released new guidelines that last week stated illegal immigrants cannot be deported solely because of their immigration status.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas stated that DHS would focus on “apprehending, detaining, and deporting who might pose threats.” There was no answer as to what might cause a threat and how would officials know exactly who is a threat.

Secretary Mayorkas fears that up to 400,000 people could cross the border within the month. This is ten times more than what the previous decade has seen and far greater than the 78,000 who crossed the border when Joe Biden was elected.
