Support Rolls In For Sarah Palin After Trump Endorses Her For Congress

By Dr. Derek Ellerman

Conservative favorite and firebrand Sarah Palin made the jump and announced that she’s running for Congress in Alaska’s lone, at-large Congressional District.

Her campaign surely got a big boost in a very crowded primary when the Republican Party’s most popular figure, former President Donald Trump, dropped a strong endorsement for her candidacy.

Support has continued to pour in since then for both the Vice President and former Governor of Alaska.

Trump Drops Major Endorsement Of Palin

In his endorsement, Trump lauded Palin as a “true America First fighter” and made clear that her early support of his own candidacy in 2016 was warmly welcomed.

“Sarah has been a champion for Alaska values, Alaska energy, Alaska jobs, and the great people of Alaska. She was one of the most popular Governors because she stood up to corruption in both State Government and the Fake News Media,” Trump’s endorsement reads.

The treatment Palin was given by the mainstream media in 2008 will be well-remembered by readers. It seems like so many years ago.

Trump also acknowledged Palin’s role in reviving the flagging McCain campaign.

“Sarah lifted the McCain presidential campaign out of the dumps despite the fact that she had to endure some very evil, stupid, and jealous people within the campaign itself. They were out to destroy her, but she didn’t let that happen.”

The endorsement concludes, “Sarah Palin is tough and smart and will never back down, and I am proud to give her my Complete and Total Endorsement, and encourage all Republicans to unite behind this wonderful person and her campaign to put America First!”

The race to fill Alaska’s sole congressional seat opened up with the passing of Don Young on March 18.

Young was elected for the first time in 1973.

Palin thanked Trump, calling it an honour.

Formidable figures in the Republican Party followed Trump’s lead, including Trump’s UN Ambassador Nikki Haley:

Newt Gingrich was the former Speaker of House.

Former Alaska Lt. Governor Mead Treadwell, who served from 2010 – 2014, told Newsmax, “Never underestimate Sarah Palin. Even when her 40 opponents include a decorated Purple Heart recipient, America’s longest running garden columnist, an assistant secretary from the Trump administration who won a Twitter battle with Chuck Schumer [Tara Sweeney]He is a senator who was drafted by his father and serves as the guardian for our Constitution [John Coghill]Don Young’s son, a former congressman. Palin is under attack by the Left

Bluecheck figures from the left attacked Palin, just as you might expect.

The “USA Singers,” which describe themselves as “making Resistance music” and standing against “Fascism” and for Ukraine was a little less subtle:

The subtleties of a Biden or Obama graduate were also not as obvious:

This joke was shared by more than one Democrat operative:

In her campaign announcement, Palin said, “At this critical time in our nation’s history, we need leaders who will combat the left’s socialist, big-government, America-last agenda. This country was built by heroes, and the radical left dishonors their legacies by opening our borders to illegal immigrants, mortgaging our children’s future, and selling out our nation’s interests to the highest bidder.”
