On Friday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki was asked by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy if she could name something – even just one thing – that the Biden administration has successfully done to help Ukraine.
The exchange took place during the White House’s daily press briefing.

Psaki: ‘Well, Peter, let me just take a step back and explain to everyone how diplomacy works’
Doocy pointedly asked the press secretary, “There’s a report in The New York Times that you guys kept asking China to help you stop Russia from invading Ukraine and they didn’t. So, what have you guys done throughout this slow-moving Russia crisis that has worked?”
Fox News White House reporter wanted to know what Biden’s administration had done in Ukraine that actually assisted.
After Psaki asked for clarification, Doocy added, “Well, the President talked to Putin. He also spoke with the G7. He threatened with sanctions. He implemented sanctions. He now claims that the sanctions will take about 30 days, or about one month. Do you guys think that people in Ukraine have about a month?”

Psaki replied, seemingly condescendingly, “Well, Peter, let me just take a step back and explain to everyone how diplomacy works and how our approach from the United States has worked.”
“What the president has done is he has built a global coalition to stand up in the face of President Putin and President Putin’s aggression and invasion of Ukraine,” Psaki added.
She said the Biden administration has pressured other nations to impose “significant” sanctions against Russia. Psaki added that the U.S. is making sure Russia feels “significant pain” from its choice to invade Ukraine.”
PETER DOOCY “[Biden] says the sanctions are gonna take…about a month. You guys believe that Ukrainens have approximately a month to comply with the sanctions?

Biden Said ‘No One Expected’ Sanctions To Prevent War
Tomorrow, President Joe Biden that “no one expected” mere SanctionsStop the current war
“No one expected the sanctions to prevent anything from happening. This is gonna take time, and we have to show resolve, so he knows what’s coming and so the people of Russia know what he’s brought on them. That’s what this is all about. This is gonna take time, it’s not gonna occur, he’s gonna say ‘Oh my God, these sanctions are coming I’m gonna stand down’. He’s gonna test the resolve of the west to see if we stay together, and we will.”
