Far-left freshman Rep. Cori (D-MO) must have thought that being a member of Congress was not as easy as she imagined. She had to put up with others who disagree with her views on certain issues.
There is also the defense of law enforcement that her Democratic colleagues in an election year offer. It’s frustrating at times!
Bush, however, was able Tuesday to make it all clear during a congressional hearing. She claimed that her congressional colleagues were “spewing lies” about her position on defunding the police, and painted police officers as ruthless killers.

Killer cops and lies
Bush, if anything else, is an excellent learner. She managed to subtly insult her fellow lawmakers and accuse law enforcement officers of prowling America’s streets looking for innocent victims to kill.
“What too many of my colleagues do not want us to talk about what, what they don’t want us talking about, is that as they trip over each other, rushing to spew lies and right-wing talking points about police funding, they are saying nothing about the rise of violence by the police. Even after millions of people marched in our streets demanding an end to police brutality, there were only fifteen, one-five, fifteen days in 2021 in which police officers didn’t kill someone.”
Democrats, well-known for spewing “right wing” talking points!

Don’t Back Down
Democrats become more anxious as the November midterm elections get closer. Recently they have collectively tried to distance themselves from the “defund the police” narrative, finding out that it is not popular.
Bush says she will not relent on her call to defund the police force. She claims that several Democrats asked her to stop supporting defunding police, but she refused.
Bush may not have looked into the murder statistics of St. Louis which is in her heart.
The Gateway City had 196 murders in 2021. This was down from the 263 murders in 2020.
CBS reports that St. Louis’ 64+ murders per 100,000 residents gave it the highest murder rate in the entire country in 2019.

The Greatest Hits
Cori Bush was a Black Lives Matter activist after the Michael Brown shooting, which took place in Ferguson Missouri. Bush participated in the demonstrations in St. Louis after the 2020 death of George Floyd.
As angry crowds gathered in front of Mark and Patricia McCloskey’s home, Bush was with them, in the middle of a four-lane artery through the city with a bullhorn egging them on.
In November of 2021 during the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, Bush claimed that white supremacist “snipers” shot at protesters in Ferguson during the unrest there. This incident is not recorded.
Bush has also joined her fellow “Squad” members in Congress in spending tens of thousands of dollars on private security, all while demanding defunded police for everyone else.
Cori Bush might be one reason House Democrats get anxious about November.
Defund your private security, with all due respect. We don’t need to leave our homes and streets unprotected.
