On the topic most Americans find themselves concerned with these days – the economy – only 38.3 percent approve while 56.3 percent disapprove.
It would seem the White House spin that the administration is ‘creating’ jobs at record rates is falling on deaf ears, especially when Americans on a daily basis are paying higher prices for gas to use their vehicles to get to a grocery store at which they will pay higher prices.

Delving further into the numbers we see that President Biden’s approval rating is worse when it comes to foreign policy (37.2 percent approve to 53.0 percent disapprove) and slightly better but still well underwater when it comes to handling a pandemic which he promised to shut down (43.6 percent approve to 52.0 percent disapprove).
The Real Clear Politics survey shows that only 27% of Americans believe we’re moving in the right direction.
65.1 percent believe we’re on the wrong track.

Plunging Numbers
Exactly one year ago today, Biden’s approval rating in the Real Clear Politics average was nearly a reversal of the number he’s seeing today.
His approval was at 54.4 percent and 36.6 percent respectively on February 10th 2021. It is at +17.5%, or -14.6%).
A 32.1 percent freefall in just one year’s time.
With headlines like these, it’s hard to imagine why Americans just don’t appreciate President Biden more than they do.
This is not to be forgotten. Average of all major polls, so the White House and Jen Psaki can’t attempt to spin this as an outlier as they have in the past.
Based on the implications of these poll numbers not only for 2024’s presidential election, but also the immediate upcoming midterms, they have to be terrifying.
Based on more reliable data and pollsters, our estimation of the current situation is based:
Biden Approval: 38-39%
Congressional Generic Ballot, Republicans: +6-7%
Trump vs. Biden: Trump +6
65-68% – Country in the wrong Direction

“In our increasingly polarized and nationalized politics, the single most determinative factor in midterm outcomes is the president’s job approval,” writes Sean Trende, senior elections analyst at Real Clear Politics.
“With both the House and the Senate very narrowly split between the two parties, entering the 2022 elections with a president whose job approval at this level carries catastrophic implications for the Democrats,” he adds.
