Public Health Seattle & King County is investigating an outbreak of gastroenteritis with abdominal cramps and diarrhea that was reported by four people from a single party at Rancho Bravo Tacos in Capitol Hill.

These people ate at the restaurant, 1001 E. Pine St., on Saturday, April 22, and reported falling ill shortly after. None of the four reporting illness were hospitalized.

Public Health received those reports on Monday, April 24, but has not received anymore since that time, according to a news release. No tests were conducted to determine what pathogen might have caused the illness.

Several violations were found at Rancho Bravo during an investigation on Tuesday, according Public Health, including “improper cooling and hot holding of potentially hazardous foods,” “factors that may have contributed to this foodborne illness outbreak.”

Public Health reports all food prepared over the weekend was thrown out and violations were corrected. The agency will conduct another site visit within the next 14 days.
