Seattle University continues to partners with the Seattle Police Department to capture and address community crime concerns, and will again conduct summer focus groups around the city.

Led by Seattle U’s Department of Criminal Justice and SPD, the first East Precinct focus group will be held 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 26, at the Capitol Hill Library, 425 Harvard Ave. E. Seattle U research analyst Susan Nembhard.

The focus groups, as well as a community survey, are used to develop micro-community policing plans that address top concerns expressed by residents in each of the city’s micro-communities — there are 10 in the East Precinct, including Capitol Hill, First Hill and the Central District.

People that attend the focus groups may provide information that will be documented, but no names will be collected.
