A significant majority of Americans disapprove of President Joe Biden’s handling of a range of key issues, new polling indicates.

CBS News/YouGov: The New CBS News/YouGov Poll showed Biden has an over 60% disapproval rating on several leading issues: crime, immigration, the economy, and inflation. Overall, only 7% of those surveyed said they think things in America are going “very well.”

The poll shows that Biden is dissatisfied with 61% of crime and 62% about immigration. Biden also has 63% disapproval ratings on the economy, 69% on the economy, and 69% on disapproval.

Biden’s performance on these and other issues has been hampered in recent months. According to recent data, inflation continues to grow at the fastest pace in almost four decades. Americans are experiencing higher consumer prices due to rising gas prices and inflation.

Biden has been repeatedly criticized by Republicans on these topics, and they have promised to gain big wins in the next midterm election.

“From rising prices to rising crime, the American people think Democrats are doing a terrible job on every key issue,” National Republican Congressional Committee spokesman Mike Berg said.

The poll found that 92% of Americans report feeling the impact of rising prices, with 66% calling it “difficult or a hardship.”

Biden is being criticised for recently reversing Title 42. A Trump-era immigration policy, Title 42 allowed border agents deport illegal immigrants in order to stem the spread COVID-19.

Critics of the decision blasted it, claiming that it will cause an increase in illegal migration. The House Republicans initiated an inquiry to determine the impact of the decision and its implications. CBP’s commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), stated that the action will only increase illegal immigration, which is already at an all-time high.

“As a result of the CDC’s termination of its Title 42 public health order, we will likely face an increase in encounters above the current high levels,” CBP Commissioner Chris Magnus said. “There are a significant number of individuals who were unable to access the asylum system for the past two years, and who may decide that now is the time to come.”
