Former San Angelo police chief Tim Vasquez was found guilty by a jury of accepting a bribe from an agent for an organization that received federal funds. He also faces three charges of honest service mail fraud. Vasquez persuaded officials in San Angelo to continue a contract for the radio communication system with San Antonio-based Dailey-Wells Communications. He kept it secret from the other officials that Dailey Wells had hired his Earth, Wind, and Fire cover group Funky Munky to perform at company events ever since 2007.
