Obviously, I’ve lost my bet. Russia’s forces remain in Ukraine and war rages on.
Last week’s news of Russian forces withdrawing from Ukraine and Kyiv made me optimistic. Putin said that he was willing to meet Zelensky when the terms and conditions of a draft agreement had been agreed upon. Although I’m not optimistic about the outcome, these hopeful signs aren’t working.
