The California State Of The GOP

In May of 2021, just days after she announced that she would be getting into the California Governor’s race, Jenner admitted that she did not vote for Donald Trump in 2020, or even at all: “I didn’t even vote. Out here in California, it’s like, why vote for a Republican president? It’s just not going to work. I mean, it’s overwhelming.”

Jenner also said that even though she is “kind of on the Republican side,” but is not a fan of “labels.” Jenner explained her political bent a bit more saying,

“Just because I have conservative economic philosophy — that’s the only thing that the Republicans are kind of on that I’m on. … I don’t know. Perhaps you refer to me as a libertarian. You might call me middle-aged. I really don’t know because when it comes to social issues, I’m much more progressive, much more liberal. So I’m kind of a middle of the road.”

Bash asked Jenner whether she believed the 2020 election had been stolen. Jenner replied, “No, I believe in the system, but I believe in the — what we need to do in the future is we are a democratic republic, we need to have integrity in our election system.”

Be Outspoken on Issues

Caitlyn Jenner has been an outspoken opponent of transgenders competing in women’s sports. In January, during an interview with Fox News Channel’s Sandra Smith, Jenner weighed in on the Lia Thomas controversy in NCAA women’s swimming.

“We need to protect women’s sports. I don’t know why she’s doing this. It’s not good for the trans community. It’s not good for women’s sports.” Jenner also added, “She knows when she’s swimming she’s beating the competition by two laps. Her biological father was a boy. As a biological boy, she was raised. Her heart is larger, her breathing system is more powerful, and her hands can do faster swimming. That’s a known.”

Fox News Channel viewers will get a different perspective on the current issues.
