Bella Ciao / Ukrainian Fury (Furies)

This song is much more intimate than my last post, and was written to the music of “Bella Ciao”, an Italian song that served as resistance song against Nazis in 1943-1945. This song was written and sung in Ukrainian by Khrystyna, a well-known Ukrainian singer. English subtitles are also included (somewhat loosely translated). Note that “Roosnia” (“Русня”) appears be a derogatory term for Russians collectively, and Dnipro is the Ukrainian name for what is English usually called the Dnieper, which flows through the center of Ukraine (including Kiev):

The bookend is the Italian version, with its original Italian words and with Ukrainian images.
