On Thursday, left-wing journalist Elie Mystal said that the United States should ditch the Constitution, which he considers “slaver’s organizing document,” for something “more inclusive.”
Mystal made his remarks during an interview on New York’s Pix 11.

Mystal:’ I have trigger white wing media this morning by noting that their slaver’s organizing document is trash’
Host Hazel Sanchez asked Mystal about his new book, “Allow Me To Retort: A Black Guy’s Guide To The Constitution.”
“Now in your book, ‘Allow Me To Retort,’ you reframe politics and the Constitution by kind of breaking down how it all impacts voting rights, LGBTQ rights, abortion rights, the list, as you know, goes on and on,” Sanchez said.
“So, are you arguing that the Constitution needs to be scrapped altogether?” she asked.

“Sure,” a laughing Mystal responded. “But, I don’t think that’s going to happen.”
“Like, if we could throw that out and start over with a new document that was more inclusive of everybody, that was written by everybody — at no point have black people, brown people or women had a say in actually writing the Constitution or the amendments to that Constitution — if we could throw that out and have a delegation of all Americans to write a new one, I would be all for that,” Mystal said.
Mystal argued that South Africa could be a good guiding light – noting that they created a new governing charter once apartheid ended.
He said he wants the U.S. to “interpret our Constitution so that we extend justice and fairness and equality to all as opposed to whatever the heck we do now.”
Social media reactions to his Constitution comments resulted in Mystal sharing a tweet that read, “Oooh, I have trigger white wing media this morning by noting that their slaver’s organizing document is trash.”
Ooooooh! I’ve triggered white media by noting the trash in their slavers’ organizing documents. 🙂 https://t.co/T2hrZQQcnu

Mystal No Stranger To Controversy Over Racial Issues
Mystal has framed criticism of critical race theory and other far left denunciations of most of U.S. history as people trying to keep “white children ignorant.”
America has long sought to educate white children, and attacks on critical race theory or the 1619 Project are part of that goal.
Although I understand the reasons, it is not an option to hobble your children in order to preserve cultural dominance.
