MSNBC’s Joy Reid Laments That People Will Have To Wait To ‘Vaccinate Their Babies’

MSNBC’s Joy Reid seems unpleased that the FDA has yet to approve vaccines for children as young as 6 months to four years old. On a recent show, she lamented that fact, her guest Wajahat Ali accused another guest of being “pro-death.”

The incredible segment came during an interview on MSNBC’s “The Reid Out.”

The most recent FDA StatementExplained that their meeting was rescheduled to talk about approving the two-dose vaccine to children 6 months through four years old.

“As part of its rolling submission, the company recently notified the agency of additional findings from its ongoing clinical trial,” the FDA observed. “Based on the agency’s preliminary assessment, and to allow more time to evaluate additional data, we believe additional information regarding the ongoing evaluation of a third dose should be considered as part of our decision-making for potential authorization.”

This was to be made by February 15. However, it was pushed back once more.

The FDA claims this pushback “will give the agency time to consider the additional data, allowing for a transparent public discussion as part of our usual scientific and regulatory processes for COVID-19 vaccines.”

“We will provide an update on timing for the advisory committee meeting once we receive additional data on a third dose in this age group from the company’s ongoing clinical trial and have an opportunity to complete an updated evaluation,” the FDA said.

MSNBC’s viewers did not like the statement.

Reid said, “This means that parents anxious to vaccinate their babies will have to wait until at least April to do so. The news comes as the pandemic and how to move forward means different things to different people.”

Ali seemed irritated. “Yeah, I’m glad we’re now in the pro-death, pro-COVID, eff them kids portion of the pandemic,” Ali said. “We started with eff grandpa and grandma, right, to get to herd immunity.”

“I just came back from New York, the gazpacho police, which are oppressing New York, things are open, by the way,” Ali said. “It wasn’t that bad. I rode the Amtrak, and I also went on the metro. I got a coffee.”

Ali stated that vaccines must be available to young children. He cited his immunocompromised 5-year-old son as an example.

All people are asking you to do are two things, number one, vaccinate, so you don’t go to the hospital and you don’t die. Number two, where a mask, so you don’t spread the infection. By the way, those people, like me, who traveled to the gazpacho police and came back, I have an immunosuppressed daughter who’s 5, who unlike Yascha, actually washes her hands, wears a mask, cares about people, got shots, didn’t get antibodies.

Children under 5 years old, I gave her one name Khadija. She’s 2 years old. She has not been vaccinated. So she’s now — obviously, we know that she’s not vaccinated. Long-form COVID is being given to children, correct? Some kids die.
