Brickbat: How Sick

Trent Kellee Freeman is a former Gilchrist County Sheriff’s Office detective. He was charged with two counts, one each, of using forged instruments and an elaborate scheme to defraud. According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Freeman was accused of filing fraudulent Family Medical Leave Act paperwork. She forgt the signatures of doctors and claimed that she had been in hospital for COVID-19. Investigators found that she actually had a job offer from another company. Freeman also bilked her coworkers of approximately $4,000 worth of donated sick time, according to the agency.
