Richard Charles Barrios III was a Ventura County Sheriff’s deputy. After pleading guilty, Barrios received a one-year sentence followed by two years probation. The results of his drug test that showed that the woman Barrios arrested for DUI driving was not under the influence, were thrown in a garbage can. The supervisor asked Barrios to take a sample of the urine from the woman, but he refused. The second deputy discovered the result of the drug test after the woman reported it to him. A second test was also performed by the deputy. Her charges against her were dropped and she was granted bail.
