Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) appeared on Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures” with host Maria Bartiromo to officially welcome the nation’s police officers dealing with vaccine mandates to relocate to Florida saying, “…we’ll treat you better here.”
DeSantis stated that he plans to sign legislation during the next legislative session that offers a $5,000 bonus for any law enforcement officers from other states who are willing to move to the Sunshine State.

Go to Gov. DeSantis Is Looking Out For Police In Florida
On Sunday, Governor. DeSantis said also:
“In Florida, not only are we going to want to protect the law enforcement, and all the jobs, we’re actually actively working to recruit out-of-state law enforcement because we do have needs in our police and our sheriffs’ departments.. So, NYPD, Minneapolis, Seattle — if you’re not being treated well, we’ll treat you better here. You can fill important needs for us, and we’ll compensate you as a result.”
Although police officers are among the first people to receive the vaccine, they often clash with their cities and the Fraternal Order of Police.
FOP leader is encouraging their members to get immunized. In a recent letter, officers were encouraged to “seriously consider receiving the vaccine to protect themselves and others from becoming seriously ill.”
FOP president Patrick Yoes, however, also wrote in the letter that the organization stands by an individual’s right to choose.

In fact, he states the FOP is “vehemently opposed” to any vaccine mandates coming from organization, government agencies, or otherwise.
The National Law Enforcement Memorial Fund reports that COVID-19 was responsible for the deaths of 182 officers in 2020. It is more than twice as many officers were killed from gun violence or vehicle crashes.
To date, 133 COVID-infected officers have been killed in 2021.

DeSantis Slams Biden On ‘Unconstitutional’ Mandates
Governor DeSantis has called Joe Biden’s vaccine mandates “unconstitutional,” and said he will fight for the jobs of Floridians. DeSantis stated that the president doesn’t have the power to make such mandates.
The Florida governor continued saying, “It will wreak havoc in the economy, because even if a small percentage of these folks end up losing their jobs or voluntarily walking away, you’re going to have huge disruptions in medical, in logistics, in law enforcement.”
Anderson Cooper, CNN Town Hall host asked Biden whether he thinks police officers should get immunized or stay home.
Biden’s response was, “Yes and yes. Biden’s response was, “Yes and yes.” He also said that he waited to discuss mandating until July because he tried every other option. The mandates are working.”
To ensure stronger protections of Floridians from federal mandates, I’m calling back the Florida Legislature for a Special Sessions.

Fending Off Effects Of Biden Economy In Florida
As the rest of the nation sees rising prices at the gas pump, the grocery store, and just about everywhere else, Florida’s economy has seen three times the amount of growth compared to the nation as a whole.
Florida’s labor force growth has increased by 5.4% over the year compared to the national growth of o.8%. In September, Florida added 84,500 new jobs.
Gov. DeSantis recently also responded to the California coast-to-coast pileup of cargo vessels.
On October 19th DeSantis declared, “Florida ports are open for business.”
DeSantis claimed that Florida doesn’t have as much of a backlog of ships than the west coast does, and that Florida still has enough space for additional cargo offloading.
Ron DeSantis, Governor of Florida, is making clear that the Biden Administration and all law enforcement officers across the country will welcome any police officers opposing vaccine mandates to Florida.
“And so in Florida, our policy is very clear: we’re gonna have a special session and we’re gonna say, nobody should lose their job based off these injections. It’s a choice you can make, but we want to make sure we’re protecting your jobs and your livelihoods.”
Floridians should not be forced to have a shot by the government. They are violating their constitutional rights and their right to medical liberty. This also puts their livelihood at risk.
