David Wolfson from the British Ministry of Justice said that transgender female prison inmates could receive extra time for using the incorrect pronoun. Wolfson stated that while those making an innocent error won’t face any punishment, those guards suspect of intentionally referring to transgender inmates as they are could face extra prison time under the rules against “threatening or abusive words or behaviour.”
