PA Democrat Lawmaker Who Proposed Mandatory Vasectomies for Men Backtracks and Now Claims It was Just “Parody Legislation”

Pennsylvania Democrat Christopher M. Rabb sent out a memorandum last October 2 to all House members regarding his legislation that will enforce reproductive responsibility among men.

Men will be required to get vasectomies in the first 6 weeks of having their third baby or 40th birthday.

The legislation provides a $10,000 reward for anyone who reveals the true authority to those who fail to consent to forced sterilization in the prescribed time. Read the full article here Pennsylvania House Democrats Introduce Forced Sterilization/Three-Child Limit Legislation

That sounds like something out of a pipe dream.

The Democrat lawmaker has retreated after he was subject to backlash, including threats of violence.  He now claims that the proposed bill was a “parody legislation” and he only introduced it because it has “no chance of passing”.

In his press release, Rabb was inspired to propose the bill to ‘spark conversation in response to bills restricting abortion rights across the country.’

Report from Local 12:

Rabb states that vasectomy is not required after the birth of a third child or at age 40. This statement was made to stimulate a discussion.

“I think it’s appropriate to push the envelope and get people talking so I proposed parity legislation so if you don’t understand satire you aren’t going to get it. It’s levity on a very serious issue, but the bottom line is I want to create a conversation about how easily we accept government intervening into the health decisions of women, which should be between them and their family, and then saying what would it feel like if men were being regulated.”

Two days after the memo was published, The Gateway Pundit made an article about it. However, it did not say that it was meant to be satirical.

One would think that legislators are just trying to make a joke of it.  He says it was a “satirical bill” just for a show? Gateway Pundit received a call from a fake news fact-checker earlier today for comment.

I am reaching out about an Oct. 4 Gateway Pundit article  in which you claim that Rep. Christopher Rabb introduced a memo requiring men to undergo vasectomies within six weeks of their third child or 40th birthday. Although the article claims that it is humorous, this bill is meant to draw attention to reproductive rights in Texas.

Your boss, Mr. Rabb should have known better. Do you have the right to make ridiculous laws? Americans are entitled to their outrage. If you think your job is a joke and it is your responsibility to pass satirical bills “just to spark conversation”, then you should resign.
