Lt. Stuart Scheller Charged with Six Violations, Referred to Special Court-Martial

North Carolina – Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller was released from the brig at Camp Lejeune on Tuesday and formally charged with six violations and referred to a special court-martial on Wednesday.

Marine Corps Times reported:

Marine Lt. Colonel Stuart Scheller was informally charged with six offenses of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. He has been referred for special court-martial proceedings, according to a Marine Corps spokesperson.

“In the military there are proper forums to raise concerns with the chain of command,” Capt. In a statement sent to Marine Corps Times on Wednesday, Sam Stephenson, a spokesperson for Training and Education Command said that. “In a general sense not specific to any case, posting to social media criticizing the chain of command is not the proper manner in which to raise concerns with the chain of command and may, depending upon the circumstances, constitute a violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.”

Stephenson stated that Scheller was charged under Article 88 (contempt towards officials), Article 89(disrespect towards superior commissioned officers), Article 1990 (willfully disregarding a superior commissioned officer), Article 92 (“dereliction of duties”), Article 92 “failure or regulation to follow order) and Article 133 (“conduct unbecoming an Officer and a Gentleman”).

Scheller was arrested for refusing to criticize military leaders for their surrender to Taliban. The Taliban were armed with US weapons worth $83 billion and left thousands without green cards and Americans in Afghanistan.

After 13 American servicemen were killed by ISIS bombers, Lt. Col. Scheller stood up.

Scheller was put in pre-trial confinement September 27.

Just weeks before being arrested and taken to the brig by Lt. Colonel Stuart Scheller, Lt.Col. Scheller took on President Trump and his entire family through Facebook.

This is what Scheller had to say about Donald Trump and his family.

Donald Trump. Everyone told me to kiss the ring due to your power and following. I refuse. Your foreign policy is admirable, but I dislike the division of this country. I don’t need or want your help. It is impossible to unify us. The next election may be yours. But your generation’s time is running out. Ask your son not to tweet about me. The whole family doesn’t know anything about US and our sacrifices. Your family is not aware of our sacrifices. I would never be able to work with you. I’d rather sit in jail and be released with a dishonorable than make compromises in my beliefs.
