The third annual Seattle Web Fest returns to the Northwest Film Forum for a day of free screenings of more than 50 original web series from around the world and eight hours of industry panels.

Seattle Web Fest is organized by technical director Matt Longmire, programming director Liz Ellis and communications director Darlene Sellers, who also hosts a monthly Seattle Web Series Meetup.

The festival runs 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 11, at the Northwest Film Forum, 1515 12th Ave.

The SWF 2017 keynote speaker is Bernie Su, cofounder of Canvas Media Studio. Su has won two Primetime Emmys, one for The Lizzie Bennet Diaries, and his second in 2015 for his Emma Approved series. He will deliver the keynote at 10 a.m.

Veteran actor Tom Skerritt will be screening an episode of his Stroller Gangs series, which he produced with Heyou Media, at 6:30 p.m.

Several of the panels, which address topics surrounding web series creation, were sponsored through a Seattle Office of Arts and Culture grant.
