Aesop is opening its second Seattle location Friday, March 3, on East Pine in Capitol Hill.
Its latest skin and hair care signature store, Aesop is located on the ground floor of the newly preserved and renovated Excelsior luxury apartment building.
The 760-square-foot retail space at 321 E. Pine was designed in collaboration with Quebecois architect Alain Carle, and was inspired by city’s the urban layers created over time, according to a news release.
“From this seed of inspiration, a refined arrangement of stacked horizontal planes emerged, representing the stratified layers of natural and built forms that define the topography of Seattle,” the release states. “A mineral grey palette prevails in the space, offset by the counterpoint of Ayers Green Granite, which furnishes the sink, pointof-sale and bench surfaces.”
Aesop, which offers upscale skin, hair and body products, was founded in Melbourne, Australia in 1987.
The first Seattle signature store opened in Fremont in 2015.
